They have referred to another hospital for metal cap .The second doctor has said that without root canal treatment we can't place cap, if we place only cap you will get infection within 3 weeks ..so what should I do?

Consult an Endodontist . They are specialized for tooth canal treatment . Only after completing rct a cap can be placed . And one can definitely be treated with a calcified canal .

U definitely need a rct for ur discolored tooth. The color gets more intense with time... Consult an endodontist to take opinion on how to go about with the root canal treatment...After rct, u can go for a more esthetic crown or cap..
Rct is a must thing before capping. Kindly consult a good endodontist near by for root canal. Also crown can b done after rct fir aesthetics. More options are available depending upon clinical check up.
Root canal treatment can be completed even for calcified canals. And it is right to say that it is better to put a cap only after proper root canal treatment is over.
You can consult an endodontist and discuss the case with him for proper opinion.
Alternatively you can post the X-ray of the tooth on Practo for an online consultation with a specialist.
Regards.
