After root canal treatment the tooth becomes brittle and crown is must to protect the treated tooth from occlusal forces while chewing.and if the root canal is been done properly and if u dont have any complain with it why you want to extract the tooth?
Next Steps
go with crown and save the tooth dont extract a natural tooth, always prefer to save a natural tooth.
Health Tips
dont bite hard food with the root canal treated tooth until crown is been placed otherwise it will fracture
If you are ok & have no problem with the root canal treated tooth, then why to go for it's removal. Better get it completed by placing a crown. Without crown we can't say that treatment is incomplete, but the tooth is not safe & secure without a crown.
Health Tips
The tooth becomes brittle after RCT, the crown protects it & reinforce the existing tooth.
Hello y u want to do that now
Don’t loose a tooth once you remove there will be a lot of problems in future your bones loss will be very fast
Just go for the crown
Dear you can go for extraction anytime. But my suggestion would be if you got your root canal treatment already done try saving the tooth using metal ceramic or all ceramic crown.
if the prognosis if the tooth is poor inspite of a good RCT even now you are having infection pain swelling then opt for extraction.
Extraction should always be the last option when nothing can be done to save the tooth followed by immediate placement of implants if at all you are intrested.
