Right breast Nipple sudden pain. This?

I examine my breasts everyday. Yesterday at night while examining my breasts my hand brushed over my right breast nipple and then the tip hurted a bit. Then I noticed one of the cracks of my nipple peeled off a little bit. Less than a cm maybe even less. That's what was causing the pain. I have no other continuous pain on my breasts. The tip is only hurting due to the friction of my clothes or if I'm touching it. Otherwise no pain. No lump, no breast texture changes, no discharge from nipples. I had applied boroline on it. I'm a little tensed and worried. Is this concerning? Also does too much stimulation of the nipple can cause this? I'm neither breastfeeding nor pregnant. I have PCOD as well and I'm nearing my period. So I kind of have mild soreness in both of my breasts.
