Hurt left side rib due to fall since one week. Having taken few pain killers and applied muscular pain gels and ointments. Pain is not subsided. Have travels coming up. Should I travel or not? What's the treatment? Feel pain while deep breathing, turning around in sleep and sitting, touching the effected part of the ribs.

Hi ,
I like to add little more with previous advises ..
If your xray shows any kind of fracture, then you better apply chest binder ,if not then apply kinesio tape over there . A physiotherapist will guide you farther..Thank you.

If the pain is getting worst contact orthopaedics ,get X-ray done ...Ribs fracture takes time to heal .Bed rest is advisable..in case of severe pain put ice back on affected area
Next Steps
application of ice pack
Health Tips
complete Bed rest ,avoid lifting weight and sudden movement
Pain might take longer than usual when ribs are involved. If you feel the pain has been of the same intensity from past seven days and there is no relief whatsoever then it could be a liitle serious. I'm assuming you fell on your lower ribs which are more susceptible for breaking under stress.
Next Steps
Visit an orthopedist and get the x ray done. That will put an end to the speculations.
Health Tips
Avoid sudden movements and try to find a comfortable position to be in, in the meantime.
