Repeat fever
My son who is 23 months old is suffering from high fever. We give some medicines and then he is fine but fever comes back again within 15 days. This time it is 2nd time in week that he is suffering with high fever. He had loose motions as well but that is cured now. No doctor is giving permanent solution to it. Please suggest.

Hi Shalini, if high grade repeat fever for more than 3-4 days is there then better to get some basic blood investigations to look at if there are any features suggestive of bacterial infection. Otherwise if fever subsides in 2-3 days, most of the time it would be viral.
