Regarding Surgery
Hi doctor, how r u, i m 13weeks and 1day pregnant, prior i had triplets my gyna suggested to do reduction so we did that process done, now i am having twins,i conceived through iui process. Now my gyna is suggesting me to do cervical cerclage surgery through mc donald process.so please suggest it is compulsory or should we go for it.
Right now my cervix size is 33.4mm n its normal report.

Hi d difficult.thing here is there is no right or wrong response here.
Twins are at a higher risk of having very early preterm labour and it's a practice especially in twins who have been concieved by infertility treatment..
But if u ask me is its compulsory or not..its not.
If u decide not to go forward with d procedure u Wil need to check cervical length every 3-4 wks by scan.
At anytime it shortens u may have to go in for an emergency circlage which needn't necessarily be successful.
Also d decision depends on ur other details and history..
I believe ur doctor would have counselled u for d procedure with d best interest of u and ur babies..
