Recently my aunt had an MRI scan, and following impressions were found. kindly explain me what it means
- mild cerebral diffused parenchymal volume low
- fused small t2 and hyperintent foci in periventricular subcortical white matter of cerebral hemisphere slightly representing mild small vessel ischaemic white matter symptoms
- mild circumfrontial mucosal thickening in right spehoidal, right posterior ethmoid and middle ethmoid synuses

there are various diameter of blood vessels. large like aorta. medium like carotid artery. small vessels tiny blood vessels. as age increases these tiny blood vessels gets blocked causing decreased blood supply to brain causing ischemia similar to gangrene in fingers. if medium blood vessels gets blocked we call it storke. ur aunt has small vessel problem. consult neurosurgeon or neurologist.
