My mother had mitral valve replacement 2.5 years ago now the doctor is saying that there is vegetation mitral valve again she needs a surgery so in the surgical procedure they remove the vegetation or else replace mitral valve??
Any complications for 2nd time surgery?

The risk of 2nd Surgery is definitely higher than primary. But now a days, Cardiac Surgery & even Redo or second Surgeries are pretty safe.
I would be more concerned for the vegetation, as, if it embolizes or dislodges can cause myriad of problems from Stroke to Gangrene.
