Regarding long term use of PPIs
Since the last 3 years I have been takinv Pantop or sompraz or nexpro or vono on a SOS basis..Doctors have asked me to take these medications and also said they are safe..I had done an endoscopy back im 2023 but reports were normal...The problem is even more in winters and I stay out ffrom my home..With home cooke dfood the problem resolves and i hardly take PPIs.. Are these PPIs harmless or cause mild effects ? As the doctors and the Gastroenterologists say ?

Unfortunately long term use of PPi is known to increase risk of, 1. Stomach achlorohydria, which in turn is a risk factor for cancer of the stomach 2. Osteoporosis of the bones risking fractures including that of the spine All the best. J G S R clinic
