This seems to be subconjunctival haemorrhage

It could simply be a subconjunctival haemorrhage that will get absorbed in due course. May be a few days to weeks depending upon size. It will remain bright red till then as it gets oxygen from the atmosphere. Just keep a check on the vision periodically as one may get a retinal swelling due to trauma if it is severe enough. Report to your doctor immediately on appearance of a distortion or drop in vision.
