Reading opg x ray
Hello ...I have little bulge on right side at angle of the jaw...so x Ray was done and one doctor say that u have little bone enlargement and sencond says u have masseter muscle hypotrophy...so I'm confused So please guide what's the real problem in attached xray Thankyou

Cant appreciate any bone enlargement in the xray. An oral surgeon or oral medicine specialist may be the best to diagnose masseter hypertrophy. A ct scan may be advised if necessary to help diagnosis. A proper clinical examination needs to be done so an online forum may not help you.It can be treated noninvasively with injections but the cause should be found too. Do not be worried and visit a specialist soon

Dear practo user We can see only hard tissue  in the OPG. We cannot see muscles. Please visit specialist for a detailed examination

C u hv to correlate the opg with clinical examination . Only after that we can comment . If ur r in delhi u can come to my clinic and show it to me . Or u can visit a nearby oral medicine and radiologist.  U need few Intra oral x rays also .and an occlussal view to c if  there is any bony expansion in that region or its soft tissue.
