If you are sexually active need to check for pregnancy test.
If you are sexually not active and missed period for the first time it can be due to stress. In case of recurrent delay investigation required

If you are sexually active then do pregnancy test either by urine or blood.Bhcg is blood.If comes negative means no pregnancy then take tablet for withdrawal bleeding after consulting with the gynaecologist or me through practo.
