I have done an RCT for my upper molar but the filling had chipped off and the old cavity runs deep. What should be done?

Please visit your dentist and get an x ray done. If x ray is fine then get the filling done again followed by capping. But it is important to get x ray so that we can examine that no infection has occurred again because of the broken filling. Then only proceed for the cap and permanent filling.

Probably the root canal treated tooth was not covered by a crown which is required specially for the molars. Try to contact your dentist so that the broken filling can be repaired and the Crown can be fabricated for the tooth before irreversible damage occurs to the tooth.
Next Steps
try not to delay this for long because a hollow tooth is highly prone for fracture under forces of mastication.
