Can rabies be transmitted in its incubation period?
I met a pet dog and was petting him n he was sitting on my lap. The dog didn't bite or scratched me not even licked my face but he slightly licked my Top( clothes) n hair at this time he had not even single symptoms of rabies n neither he was unwell.
After 13 days same dog started showing symptoms of rabies like some salivation n his face is also paralysised . On consulting various vet doctors some said he has rabies and some said he doesn't have rabies. I am really scared should I get rabies injection or not?

The description of events are not suggestive of transmission of rabies infection from dog to humans but since the dog has died of rabies like symptoms within 15 days of contact and rabies being an in curable disease, it is advisable to get vaccinated for rabies
