My 2 year son had fever 7 days back. Fever remained for 4 days ( between 100 to 102). Subsequently, there is no recorded fever but back side is warm since 3 days (temperature of 99.5).
Hence doctor suggested blood tests. Typhoid, dengue, urine tests are normal. However, lymphocytes and platelet indices are abnormal with following findings:
1. Normocytic with mild hypochromia
2. Relative Lymphocytosis
3. Reactive Thrombocytosis
Wanted to check if this is due to any infection, or something more serious? On follow up today, doctor has extended his antibiotics. Please advise
