Hi ,
I don't think that there is any bad drug for diabetes. but when it comes to defining a good drug, it can be said as something which controls your sugar level and causing least or no side effects at all. As every individual is different, the same thing can be said about their diabetes as well. Hence if a particular drug works for a specific individual , the same might not work for another individual . Hence it is said the treatment of diabetes can vary from person to person and always have to be individualized to get the best possible outcome.
As far as your question is concerned, it might turn to be a good drug for you if it does control your sugar level and does not cause any side-effects. Hence my suggestion is to wait and watch.
