QUERY REGARDING BARRET'S ESOPHAGUS
I have heard that people with long term acid reflux can develop Barrett's Esophagus ? When we talk about long term how much period does it mean ? Can a chronic acid reflux of 2 months lead to Barret's esophagus or a long term exposure is required ? I had an endoscopy 2 yrs back whose report is attached herewith for your perusal. Now from past 1 month I am having acid reflux, should I be worried ? Can a endoscopy of that long period suggest something ?

Long term (years) exposure required for  barrets to form. I don't think u r at risk of Barrett's as previously Endoscopy did not suggest any Hiatus hernia or Esophagitis. U can try with antacids for reflux symptoms and if not resolving or recurring them get a repeat scopy done.
