Is your blood sugar and BP controlled on these medications?
If yes, you can continue Metformin for blood sugar. For BP, you can switch to telmisartan 40 mg and after switch measure your blood pressure, if it is controlled, you can continue same dose.

Olmy 20 (Olmesartan) is a good choice as it also helps protect kidneys in diabetic patients. However, if cost is a concern, there are effective and more affordable alternatives available.
Possible alternatives
(to be changed only after doctor consultation) :
• Telmisartan 40 mg
• Losartan 50 mg
• Amlodipine 5 mg (if BP control is needed and no ankle swelling)
• Enalapril / Ramipril (ACE inhibitors – if tolerated)
All these medicines are commonly used, effective, and usually less expensive than Olmesartan.
Next Steps
What I recommend:
• Check current BP readings (home or clinic)
• Get kidney function tests (creatinine) and urine albumin.
• Based on reports, your doctor can safely switch you to a cost-effective equivalent.
Your metformin SR 500 mg can be continued if sugars are controlled.
Health Tips
⚠️ Do not stop or switch BP medication on your own, as sudden changes can affect blood pressure control.
