Quadraple marker test
Hi,
Doctor asked me to have a quadruple marker test .
Lab is asking for ultrasound report level 2 whereas I have level 1.
LMP: 14/03/2018.
Doctor didn't mention anything that I have to get level 2 ultrasound.please help
I m bit confused.

Quadruple test is done around 16 to 18weeks of pregnancy . It is important to get level 2 ultrasound scan done at the same time when you go for blood test as this helps in better correlation and interpretation of test results.

The quad screen is a maternal blood screening test where specific substances are evaluated in the tests (AFP, hCG, Estriol and Inhibin-A). This test only notes that a mother is at risk of carrying a baby with a genetic disorder. It is usually done with a high quality ultrasound so as to correlate the findings.
