My father age 65 has been detected throat cancer PYRIFORM SINUS on 03-05-24, he was given two cycles of NACT and radiations will be started in coming weeks, still he is unable to swallow any food except semi liquid like shake, milk etc which resulting loose of weight on daily basis, docotors are requested to advise me any supplement/diet for gaining weight and recovery. He lost 17-18kg. Thanks.

Get a Nasogastric Tube in place as soon as possible. And maintain 250-300ml protein rich liquid diet every 2hourly or as much as he can.

Hi if ur father is not able to take food, feeding tube has to be placed with the help of endoscopy . So that he can take more semi solid to.liquid food through it .
