Putting finger in kid's mouth to vomit

Last 3,4 months my brother's4 yr od kid is having cold and cough ..So everyday morning during brushing his teeth he is putting his finger and making the kid to vomit cough..Recently I found that self induced vomit is dangerous..Please suggest.Is this anything to worry...
