Pus inside breast near
Hi Doctor, My baby is 9 months old , yesterday I observe a tiny ( very small ) lump in her left-side breast beside,today that lump is very painful , even I touch her she is crying a lot , today i met my doctor (x-ray, scan after ) he told me some pus is their inside the breast near , and he gave me antibiotics . Is it get any thing serious or normal ? What is the cause of that infection ? How that pus we be clear ? Please suggest me . My baby is crying is a lot.

Please send pic of it. Continue with antibiotics as it will help in subsiding it. Watch for activities, progression and fever or redness of the skin. If increasing consultation required.

Breast abscess will be very small to look from outside but there can be large collection inside. Antibiotics will be sufficient to decrease infection but if pain persists or fever or size increases then incision and drainage has to be done

If baby is crying continuously give Syr Ibugesic 2.5 ml one stat dose now.

Looks like mastitis If you try to express some discharge or do massage it can get infected It should come down with antibiotics. Follow up with your pediatrician Use paracetamol for pain
