Pus cells count 12-15 hpf

Asked for Female, 7 Years

Seven years old my daughter is getting frequent fever.Urine analysis and urine culture test done. Urine analysis report results are Pus cells 12-15 hpf,RBC 1-2,Bacteria few present Urine culture report No growth after 48 hrs of Inoculation Please advise.

Pus cells up-to 5/HPF are considered normal,your child has UTI. Antibiotic course is mandatory for 7-10 days,since culture is negative,best antibiotic would be syp augmentin duo 5 ml twice a day along with syp vizylac,as loose motions are a common side effect of the drug. If there's no improvement in 72 hours,revaluation has to be done.
