PUS 10-12 for 3month old baby
On first urine test PUS was many. After 3times oral antibiotics its shows 10-12. Is it fine now. . Urine culture test also done. After that only doctor told to continue oral.
Do we need to test anything else. If we continue oral will it reduce to normal??

Pus cells up-to 5 per high power field,reported as 5/hpf is normal,anything beyond is considered as urinary infection.
Usually a 7-10 day course of appropriate antibiotic cures it.
If recurrent,this needs further evaluation.
