PSA came 12.0
Short history. My granpa was treated for stage 4 prostate cancer with spinal metastasis 13 years back and his prostate got removed and PSA brought down to way less than 1.0 1. Recently after 4 years we got his PSA level checked again which came 12.0 from 1.4( 4 years back) . 2. Asked Dr jj patel, oncologist, who treated him, he said take two Honvan a day. He is taking 2 honvan a day for 5 months now. But he asked to consult him in ahmedabad which is not possible rite now. Ques: 1. Are PSA levels alarming? 2. is it ok to take two honvan( fosfestrol 120mg) a day? Or it should be increased? 3. How often should his PSA be assesed? Esteemed opinions would be helpful

More effective treatment are available now and honovan is not used now. It’s used only when patient failed on all the standard treatment which are directed towards suppressing testosterone Psa should be assessed once in 3 months U can take online consultation if u want for further discussion on treatment
