Prolonged bleeding after taking ipill.
Me and my boyfriend had oral sex on 30th September which was the first day of my period. But accidentally he inserted his finger inside my vagina after touching his own pants which had some semen. We both were tensed regarding this and I decided to take an ipill as a precautionary measure. So I ate the ipill on that day itself after 3 hrs of the sexual activity. Today is the fifth day of my period and I am not experiencing any severe side effects of ipill apart from prolonged bleeding. Is it necessary to have an emergency contraceptive during such scenarios? Is the ipill going to be effective during periods? When is my withdrawal going to start ? Is there any chances of pregnancy in my case ? When will my normal menstrual bleeding going to stop? Please help! I am tensed right now.

Whatever has been done can't be undone. Whatever type of sexual intimacy you have, you cannot become pregnant if it is the first day of your periods. I pill will do its job whenever you take it but it is useless during periods. Now you have to wait for your present periods to be over. You will get your next period whenever it is due. No long term side effects.

Withdrawal bleeding is not mandatory. Chance of pregnancy during period is low. The period bleeding should stop in couple of days.
