Problem with Molar cavity
Hi, My wife Seema was having a cavity in her Molar tooth, so she has undergone RCT but the doctor didn't applied cap on that because the structure was little broken from one side. Now, the problem is the filling came out and there is a big hole in the molar, so all food getting stuck in that. We have consulted few doctors and all of them suggested capping it but the cost of cap they are telling is quite expensive. So just wanted to understand if capping is the only solution and how does a cap with 5-10 years life usually costs including consultation and filling and other procedures if any.

The capping is mandatory after doing a Root canal procedure... If you want to the save tooth, capping is the only option... The best caps are always Zirconia which cost ranges from 10k to 15k, these are metal free and the longevity will be good.. There are other varieties like metal ceramics which cost around 6k-10k, but the longevity will be less comparing to Zirconia... It's always better to spend your money for the best caps..
