What you’re describing is leg swelling after sitting for long hours, difficulty in movement, heaviness, and slow recovery is not a simple “blood test problem.” This pattern usually points to one of the following conditions: 1. Venous Insufficiency (Very Common After 50) The veins in the legs become weak and blood doesn’t return properly when sitting or travelling. This causes: Swelling after sitting 2–3 hours Heaviness in legs Tightness Slow recovery after movement This is extremely common and one of the most likely causes in your age group. 2. Early Neuropathy or Nerve Compression Nerve issues in the lower back or legs can cause: Difficulty in movement Legs feeling “idle” or stiff Slow walking Mild swelling due to poor muscle pump activity This needs a neurological evaluation. 3. Heart, Kidney, or Thyroid-Related Causes Even if your basic blood tests are “almost okay,” swelling can still happen if: Heart pumping is slightly weak Kidney filtration is borderline Thyroid levels are off Protein levels in blood are low These conditions often need specific tests not routine ones. 4. Early Lymphedema Sometimes the lymphatic system doesn’t drain fluid well, especially after long sitting. What you should do next (Important) Instead of guessing, you need the correct evaluations to find the real reason: Venous Doppler (legs) → checks vein health Lower Limb Examination → muscle and nerve function ECG + basic cardiac check → rules out heart cause Kidney & thyroid tests review Physical exam to check fluid distribution and mobility Only after this can we decide the right line of treatment. Which specialist to consult? You should start with a physician (internal medicine) or vascular specialist who can evaluate: circulation nerve function muscle strength joint mobility overall systemic causes This is not something that improves with random medicines. If you want, I can help you step-by-step To understand exactly why your legs swell and why movement is becoming difficult, I need to review: your symptoms in detail your previous reports your lifestyle and travel pattern the pattern of swelling the way it resolves Once I have these details, I can guide you properly on the right diagnosis and treatment plan. You can book a private consultation with me on whatsapp at Nine Three Two Six Zero Two Zero Five Three Six and I will help you figure out the exact cause and the right next steps.

Good day to you sir I understand your concern and I am sure this must be distressing causing a hindrance in your day to day activities. I shall try to the best of my abilities to consult you. Feet swelling is a common symptom often associated with diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, infection, liver diseases, DVT and many more I would like to ask you a few questions so that I can rule out a few possibilities # Do you have any history of heart disease, cholesterol, diabetes? Or any history in family? # Have you had any breathing problems, headache, vision problems, any issues knowing where you are, what time and who you are? It will require extensive workup (history, investigations) to reach the root cause of the issue followed by corresponding appropriate treatment plan coupled with dietary and lifestyle changes which is beyond the scope of this Q/A forum.
Next Steps
I urge you to book a one to one consultation with your family physician or any physician you are comfortable with so that an extensive workup (history, investigations) can be done.

Your Symptoms Suggest The pattern you described — Leg swelling after sitting/travelling for long hours, Difficulty in movement, Body feeling idle / stiffness, Swelling that reduces slowly, Blood tests mostly normal — can happen due to one or more of the following conditions: Possible Causes Venous insufficiency (poor blood flow in leg veins) Veins become weak → blood pools in legs → swelling after long sitting. Lymphedema (lymph fluid retention) Swelling that improves slowly. Nerve or muscle issues Long travel → nerve compression → heaviness & difficulty walking. Heart / kidney issues Can sometimes cause swelling, but you said blood tests are normal, so less likely — but still should be checked via ECG, echo, kidney function. Varicose veins (early stage) Swelling after standing/sitting long, improves with rest.

Leg must be in rest. In parallel to body.  After walk put leg on chair or bed. At night put three pillows under leg.  If its dependent  edema  it will reduce. Advise Urine complete n microscopic.  Specially albumin.   Crp, esr,  cbc
