Prevention against Viral
Nowadays how can we protect our kids from risky viral infection. Please share any prevention tips to protect kids against viral diseases. My 7 year daughter had viral fever which later developed lymph nodes and she had fever for almost 2 weeks with neck pain. After 10 days she also had developed pain in one foot. She recovered with proper treatment later but 2 weeks were very difficult for all of us. How can we prevent these kind of diseases in advance? Is this because of low immunity?

It sounds like your daughter had a really rough two-week recovery, and it’s completely natural to worry about her immune system after such an intense illness. To help protect kids from these kinds of risky infections, staying on top of routine vaccinations and making hand-washing a non-negotiable habit are the best first steps. You can also boost her natural resilience by focusing on nutrient-dense meals, plenty of water, and ensuring she gets a consistent, full night’s sleep. Often, what feels like "low immunity" is actually just a growing immune system learning how to navigate and fight off new or more aggressive viral strains. If these severe episodes happen frequently, a quick chat with her pediatrician can provide a formal evaluation to rule out any underlying health concerns. It’s also common for symptoms like swollen lymph nodes to hang around as a sign that the body is still working hard to finish the fight
