Prescription of Cylindrical glass
Hello Team,
My Eyes prescription says I need cylindrical glass not the sphere one. I understand the meaning of +/- Spherical glass--> It could be Farsightdness OR Nearsightdness.
But What is the meaning of +/- Cylindrical glass. My Right eye is -3 Cylinder & left is -2.75 Cylinder.
In case of sphere i can say i have nearsight or farsight glasses if someone ask but what should i say in case of cylindrical thats what i want to know

Spherical lense, power will be in all directions. Cylinder means, power will be in certain degrees, as prescribed. This also depends, upon the eye ball size,growth,corneal curvature etc.pl consult Ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment .
