Premature hair loss. Premature hairloss.

I have been facing hair loss for 1.5 years now And my hairline is constantly receeding with aggressive thinning on temple area. I have been using minoxidil 5 % for 1 year now regularly once daily and hair fall was under control but since last  2 months my hairfall has increased rapidly.My dermatologist also suggested some multivitamin a week before . But hairfall is increasing day by day and hairline is receeding very quickly. And I was hoping if there is any medication to slow down this process. As I'm a currently a student and it's affecting my mental peace of mind and i am quite stressed about it. I had done some research, and I was thinking if I could hop onto finasteride . Please help and suggest some cure for my aggressive premature hairloss.
