Pregnant or not. A thorough checkup?

I have a subserosal fibroid of approx 9.5 cm that was diagnosed in 2015. Married for more than a year now and seems like had a miscarriage in July last year coz I never had delayed period and since then my cycle of 28 days got disturbed for 1-2 months and then again streamlined to 28 days. Had last period on 16th December 2016 and then as per an app I ovulated on 29th December and had an unprotected sex on 24th, 27th and 30th. And it's been 7-8 days I am experiencing weird craving and have got aversion to sweets that I used to like a lot. But have got my periods again today i.e. according to 28 days cycle. I'm surprised to know that I didn't conceive. Should I keep trying for few months before getting a thorough checkup?
