Hi , I am 16 weeks pregnant. My husband has been told he has mild pneumonia and I am suffering from a really chesty cough and cold. The cough has kept me up for the last couple of nights. I have been told I can't take anything for it , I am also dealing with sickness problems where I've been put on cyclizine which is helping me keep some food down compared to not being able to keep food or fluids down. No its not true..lots of medications cn be given during pregnancy if u hv cough n cold. Specially if ur husband has been suffering from pneumonia and u r pregnant , u r highly susceptible to infections. U need to start an antibiotic. Consult a doctor there not a midwife and get urself examined .. If u cn get medications there without prescription u cn initiate a direct consult i cn advise u some
