Pregnancy Symptoms with urinary bacteria

Asked for Female, 30 Years

Can a nitrite affect a pregnancy test.? Went to Dr and they said my nitrite cam back positive and I could have a urinary bacterial infection. I am also 7 days late. Took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. Can the bacteria affect the test? I also have nausea. Fatigue, late period, tender breast. Not sure if that's the positive test or infection.

Bacteria will not affect the test. If it is positive u r pregnant. Give urine for culture to identify the infection
