Hi, i am 12 weeks pregnant recently my NT scan was completed during that time baby was not cooperative for the scan at last they completed the scan and told me that i have big gap (big NT fold) back side of baby neck it may leads to  down syndrome and short limbs baby, then doctor suggested cvs and blood test waiting for the results. my question here is short limbs of baby in upcoming weeks will get increased or not?gap back side of baby neck will get decrease in future or not?please answer my doubts thanq u  in advance.

NT is one of the markers for Down’s syndrome in the baby. If it is high, then you will now have to wait for the results of the double marker blood test. Which will give you a risk ratio- risk of your baby having Down’s syndrome. There is no chance of NT decreasing or changing in future.
