After having protected sex on 20th Jan, she took an i-pill before 36 hrs just in case. She had bleeding similar to regular periods and almost during the same time of the month but only for 3 days from 30th Jan. We assumed it to be normal period. But now her period is late by more than a week as of today and hence little doubtful whether we are pregnant or not.

If your periods hv been delayed by more than 10days its advisable to do a urine pregnancy test as chances of pregnancy are definitely there.
If negative wait for spontaneous resumption of menstrual cycles
