The finding of abnormal ductus venosus (DV) flow patterns, (negative/reversed aâwave, increased pulsatility index for the veins (PIV)), in euploid firstâtrimester fetuses with an enlarged NT, enhances the likelihood of structural anomalies and poor pregnancy outcome. Abnormal DV aâwave is also a predictor of cardiac defects in these fetuses, with a reported sensitivity of up to 90%. This is a predictive test and not a confirmatory test, I would advise you to visit your obstetrician at the earliest.
