My wife's missed her periods and after couple of weeks we went for hcg test and found the level was 100. And all of a sudden she had her normal periods, which lasted for 5 days. (Today is the 6th day)
What may be the reason for her periods after positive pregnancy test?
Is it necessary to go for B-HCG test and Transvaginal Ultrasound now?
And doctor has advised not to try for this month, they have asked us to plan from next month(1 month gap).

There is possibility she had chemical pregnancy in which there is a mild rise in beta HCG however no pregnancy can be detected on sonography
Ideally you should get a sonography done if it hasn't been done yet
If sonography is normal you can try for pregnancy
