Hello, i m 40weeks pregnant.. In 35thweek scan, loop of cord noted around the neck of bby.. Can it unwind on its own as pregnancy progresses by 40weeks? Stil head has not come to pelvis region.. All other things are ok, pelvis is adequate..

Hi dear. After 40 weeks you should not wait more. Go for induction and trial of labour. Loop of cord is no contraindication to normal delivery. If all other things are normal then you can deliver vaginally

If you are 40 weeks you should see your doctor and think and discuss about the modes of delivery and the plan of action.dont think about the cord around neck.zits a very common entity and presence of only cord does not affect the obstetric management

No it cannot unwind itself.. trial of normal delivery can be given provided ur other parameters are ok.
