Pregnancy back pain
Hi doctors My wife is 28 weeks pregnant and is suffering from back pain since the beginning of 3rd trimester..its becoming worse as the days progress. I have consulted neurosurgeon, and a gynaecologist..still no luck..reports seem to be normal any help with physio that couls reduce the pain please?

It's a common problem which pregnant ladies will face especially during third trimester.

Positioning while sitting is very important. You can use basic towel or pillows as back support when sitting.There are pillows available just winding and supporting the back alone.

Back pain very much common during pregnancy..u haven't mention body weight of patient it's also important,  need to correct posture and position

Hello... It is a common condition that occurs during pregnancy because of the muscle weakness and improper posture.
Next Steps
She has to place pillow while sitting and while sleeping this helps alot to overcome the back pain.

Back pain could be due to back muscle weakness. This is common in most women during pregnancy.
Next Steps
She should give hot water fomentation to the affected site for 15-20 minutes twice a day. She can use Volini gel or spray provided she is not allergic. She should use small cushion while sitting to ease her back.

Yes physiotherapy exercises can help reduce back pain during pregnancy. Back pain is quite common complain during pregnancy. There are specific prenatal (antenatal) exercises that are safe to perform. However it needs be done only after consulting or under supervision of physiotherapist. Certain modification during sitting and standing can also be helpful to reduce back pain.

Back pain is common symptoms during pregnancy. It is due change in posture and weakness muscles. apply hot water bag for 10-15min . Always use pillow under  back while sleeping and sitting.
