I am 32 and my wife is 31. This will be our first pregnancy. And so I want to know if it is necessary to conduct some tests or procedures before planning for pregnancy. And what are these tests and procedures if any?

It's better if you get prenatal checkup done and also start folic acid supplements. Test like blood sugar, cbc, thyroid profile and ultrasound lower abdomen.
