Asked for Female, 27 Years

I have my marriage on 11-12th Nov my due date of periods is 10.. My gyenecologist prescribed me meprate 10mg tablets to be taken from today, that means from 23rd Oct till my honeymoon is over that means till 29th Nov.. For one month.. My question is will meprate tablet help to postpone periods and will it help with as a contraceptive drug.. Or should I take some other precautions to not get pregnant on my honeymoon.. Please help..
