Postpartum supplements.
I was taking Calcimax d 1000 and livogen before delivery as suggested by my doctor in Bangalore. I moved to my hometown and after delivery the doctor here prescribed T APTCAL and T hemodell xt. But he said that I can also continue what I was taking before instead of these. Can you please suggest which is more suitable for postpartum?

Hello Dear Mother, So first I would like to tell you that both the tablets now prescribed and you taking formerly are calcium and iron supplements needed in post partum period. The newer ones suggested are known for better absorption and lesser side effects. However since you have tolerated the previous ones well you can continue them also. To clear the confusion 1) finish whatever the remaining tablets of previous prescription 2) take only one strip each of new prescription 3) see of you tolerate the newer meds properly 4) you like the newer ones better then use them or else continue with previous prescription.
