You didn't mention whether you are a primigravida or a multigravida and whether you faced similar problems during previous delivery .
To my knowledge there are no specific medicines to put you to sleep. Usual medicines like Alprazolam or Clonazepam help in 99% of the cases. Another thing is that you should tire yourself in the daytime so that you are already sleepy when you hit the bed. After that the usual precautions like having dim light in the bedroom, no TV, no cellphone, have a glass of milk half an hour before going to sleep.
How many days postpartum?
Take good nutrition/ balanced diet/ more liquids/ fruits, vegetables, dry fruits/
Your sleep pattern will be disturbed depending on baby’s sleep cycle
Sleep should not be dependent on medication
A tired body will fall asleep easily
You should try yoga meditation n exercise first before considering medication
Also you need to understand that any medication that you take will be transmitted to the baby as well
You can avoid sleeping in the afternoon so that you get a good sleep in the night
