Post anti-depressant taper SYMPTOMS
I was on anti-depressants consistently since March 2023. (Fluoxetine for 2years, Sertraline for 8months, Paroxetine for 8 weeks, & Escitalopram for more than 8 weeks) I have recently tapered off Rexipra (Escitalopram). I was taking a 10mg dose. I switched to 5mg for 10-15 days & then 2.5 mg for 10 days. I am experiencing severe insomnia & moderate restlessness. After tapering, now I take Tranxiety (Etifoxine 50mg) to manage anxiety & it seems to be working without impairing the day-to-day function (which happened on Clonazepam & Alprazolam) DOES tapering off any anti-depressant cause - post discontinuation syndrome? HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

No long term discontinuation syndrome occurs in majority. Most have recurrence of depression or anxiety due their neurotransmitter dysregulation

Hi, usually they last for a few weeks. But your symptoms may be due to illness itself. Consult online for treatment
