Possibly late period but pregnancy scare

Asked for Female, 13 Years

My best friend's period was due 3 days ago and still hasn't come. She is oddly hot, her stomach and ankles are twice their usual size. She is getting bad pain in her chest and stomach like she hasn't had before. She doesn't know if all this is late period or if she is possibly pregnant. (We are both 13) We are too scared to talk to our parents
