Possible Misdiagnosis of T1DM.
I am 21. Was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 years back. I am on 18 units per day of Insulin. The Doctor simply declared me T1DM stating age as the reason. No C-Peptide Test, No Antibody Test, not even any hba1c Test. But I am unsure if I have T1DM as I think I have T2DM. I am Obese (BMI-30), on low insulin dosage, do not have any history of T1DM but full of T2DMs including my father, mother, grandfather and uncle. My concern is if I have T2DM, I should be taking Metformin too but I am just on Insulin. Which type of Diabetes do I have?

Your observation is worth appreciation! From the history you provided, you seem to be more a candidate for type 2 diabetes. Oral medicines with/without C peptide testing are definitely worth trying.
