Hi i am 16 and i have fasting glucose of 167 so should i start medication or i should loose weight and do excercise my weight is 90kg please help

Fasting is 167 Normal is less than 100 Post lunch report and hba1c equally important and need to be done.. Weight is more.definately weight loss recommended.. Follow good diet restriction.. Also daily 30-45 mins walking is compulsory Depends on the ppbs,hba1c report ..no harm in starting medicines.

It would be better to initiate medications since your fasting is quite high. I would, however, also get your Hba1c checked. What’s important for you, is to stop your sugars/sweets and exercise regularly, thereby reducing your weight. This would in turn help keep your sugars under better control with minimal medications for diabetes.
