Pioria, white and swollen gums.

Asked for Female, 50 Years

My mother aged around 50 has her few gums swollen and white plague or may be its just colour. At first her gums used to bleed, but after using baking soda as remedy, now her gums dont bleed. But they are still swollen and white and sometimes she also feel hot and cold beverages- please recommend some medicine or ways to get around with this problem. Thanks!

You should not resort to such home remedies because they might relieve the symptoms for some time but do not actually cure the disease. And also medications are not the treatment for gum inflammation and you need to visit a dentist so that the gums in the teeth can be cleaned by procedure of ultrasonic scaling so that a permanent relief from the symptoms can be expected.
