I have plueral thickening in my right lung. Earlier, I in 2015, I had plueral effusion. Currently in 2020, I had some complications in taking deep breath. I showed it to doctor, he said it's plueral thickening because of my old plueral effusion. He suggested me a mediciser in which I have to take deep breathes to push the mediciser three balls up. I am having okay results with it. Is there any other way, other than this that would make my deep breathes easier and make the thickening less. Please suggest.

Along with spirometry/medicine, u should surely start breathing excercises and physical excercises to improve e your lung capacity. I can help you with online yogic pranayama and physical excercises .Earlier you do , better results you will get.
Spirometry is one of the good technique for improving your lung and breathing capacity. As you are already practicing it I will suggest you some small alterations like you start holding the lifted ball (even if you are only able hold single ball) for some duration. Suppose you were only able to hold it for 3-5sec so dnt worry keep practicing it and it will improve your breathing capacity. Second it increases the frequency of the repetition of your breathing exercises.
